When we moved to a new house my mother-in-law gave me a peony. In the first year there was one peony-flower. In the next year there were five. Since then there are many flowers in the peony every year.
The background is made and quilted by machine. The flowers are made of folded patchwork, embellished with beads, then attached to the background.
