In Aiguilles-en-Luberon a nice textile festival will be held. This time Rita Berghuis will show her work in Peypin d'Aigues, France.

MeerArt expo 'En voeren over zee...' - Veendam, NL



In the Veenkoloniaalmuseum in Veendam-NL MeerArt exhibits once more an show with a naval theme.
'Ze voeren over zee...' is an expo about navigation, but also about emigration, diving etc. So the seven Dutch and the seven German members of MeerArt show about 50 quilts with great diversity.

Quiltfestival North Groningen - Rita Berghuis in Kantens-NL



2010, June. In ten historical churches on the 'Hogeland' (highlands) of Groningen-NL a new quiltfestival was organised.
Rita Berghuis exhibited in the Antoniuskerk in Kantens-NL.


For this expo was a huge succes, it will be repeated in June 2012.

Expo GegenLicht in Sappemeer-NL




Where rost is has shining gone...


2010, march. GegenLicht presents their expo 'Rost meets Gold' for the first time. The german-Dutch textile group has their show in the Smederij in Sappemeer-NL. The GegenLicht-members made work themed Rost, Gold and work in which rost and gold meet.

MeerArt 'Mensch und Meer'



2006-2010. The travelling exhibition 'Man and Sea' was shown a last time in Prague at the 4th Patchwork Meeting.


This exhibit started in Germany in the Deutsches Sielhafenmuseum in Carolinensiel (D), travelled to the Netherlands to the Veenkoloniaal museum in Veendam (NL), back to Germany shown during the Patchworktage in Berlin (D), then to the Danish border in the Schifffahrtsmuseum in Flensburg (D), shown in the Kreismuseum in Syke (D) and in the Seemuseum in Kreuzlingen (CH).

Rita Berghuis in de Eglise de l'Assomption, Lièpvre



2009, September. Rita Berghuis has a solo-exhibition in the church in Lièpvre.
Lena Wik from Sweden and a German quiltgroup with Irene Kahmann exhibit also in this church.

TeXui at the Handwerkbeurs in Rotterdam-NL

2009, Oktober. During the Handwerkbeurs in the Ahoy in Rotterdam-NL members of the textile group TeXui got the opportunity to show much of their work.

2009, Oktober. TeXui exhibits in Gallery Holtrop in Tilburg.
Linda Colsh was with them as a guest-artist.

Exposition TeXui: Labyrinth




2008, December. In 't Oude Kerkje, a nice Dutch church in the Village Middelbeers in the southern part of the Netherlands, TeXui showed their Labyrinth-expo together with other work of the TeXui-artists.

Quilts, Art with a Q



2008, November - 2009, March. In the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden-NL 'Quilts, Art with a Q' was presented.
There were several expos. One of them was the exhibit Collarpieces.
Rita Berghuis collarpiece 'Roses in the Air' was selected for this exhibition.

GegenLicht in Bramsche, Germany



2008, April. In textile artgroup Gegenlicht Dutch and German work together to stimulate each other and widen their horizon.
During the 7th 'Nordwestdeutsches Patchworktreffen' in the Tuchmachermuseum in Bramsche (D) were several quiltexpos.
Gegenlicht showed quilts under the theme 'Our life'. At the picture you see a series of small works by members of GegenLicht, 30 x 30 cm each.

TeXui in Venhuizen





2007, April. TeXui is invited to show their work in the Nederlands Hervormde Kerk in Venhuizen-NL.

Patchwork and Quiltdays in Rijswijk (ZH) - NL



2007, March. The Patchwork and quiltingdays 2007 were held in the 'Evenementenhal' in Rijswijk (ZH)-NL.
Guest of the year is TeXui. They show quilts, from traditional to artquilts. TeXui is a textile artistsgroup, they are 10 women, whose life is interwoven with textile.
During these days were classes by Annette Jeukens, Rita Berghuis-Ensing, Karen Lipton, Mirjam Pet-Jacobs a.o.

Catskill Mountain Festival, Hunter NY, USA



2006, July. Rita is invited by the Catskill Mountain festival in Hunter NY, USA.
She shows Dutch quilts and lectures about Dutch tradition.

2e International Quiltfestival Wilwerwiltz, Luxemburg



2006, May. In Wilwerwiltz, Luxemburg Rita shows her work with Pia Maria Inderbitzin,
Verena Matter, Mirjam Pet-Jacobs and Charlotte Yde at the second International Quiltfestival.

Expo Magic Quilt, Lyon, France



2006, June. A huge quiltexpo is held in Lyon, France. In 'la Sucrière' is the Expo Magic Quilt.
Rita is there in 'le village des artistes' with her quilts.
The miniquilts from the artists are used to make a 'creátion du mode'.

'Pentimento', exposition by TeXui in Raalte-NL.




2006, July/ August. During the summer of 2006 TeXui exhibited art quilts themed 'Pentimento'.
